Default Might be selling my GS400 for a...

another GS400! My GS is getting up there in mileage, just passed the 80K mark. I posted a couple of weeks ago about driving it into the ground or selling it now before I loose even more value.

I have the chance to purchase an identical car to mine except it's silver which is what I wanted originally when I bought my car 2 years ago. '98, Nav, HID, Spoiler, etc, with 45K miles. He is asking $29,500, but I'm sure I can get him down some. Problem will be trying to sell my car. If I can do this without loosing too much money up front I think I will, because I will loose a lot on my car when it hits 100K. What do you guys think?

if i were you i would just keep your car, lexus will go on forever. you being your first owner you know exactly what your car has been through. maybe his car has so much problem he is just trying to get rid of it. stick to what you know.

theanimala - you're concerned about losing value on the current car as mileage climbs, yet you're going to lose money selling and buying another car one way or another. I'd keep the current car for financial reasons, but if you MUST have a silver car with fewer miles, go for it.

Either way you can't lose overall, you'll still be getting a GS400!

Wink GS4 vs. GS4

I agree with Jmai22. Keep your car, you know what they say, "Grass is always greener on the other side." You don't know how he drove his car and why he is selling it. I'm the first owner of my car and it has around 150K on it now, still drives the same, so don't worry about the mileage. Now if you want to sell the GS in the near future to get something else or some money, that's a different story. But if you're buying his GS to keep on driving in a GS, I would stick with your car that you babied from the beginning. But no matter what any of us say, bottom line is the choice is yours, bro.

that could be the problem though, he probably knows how he put those miles on his GS, so that's why he wants one with lower miles, LoL I know im pretty hard with my GS im always Pinnin it whenever I can
