Yeah, there were some scratches on those shrouds. You will be cutting off a lot the shroud and alot will be hidden. As long as the faces look good that's what you will mostly see. But if the difference was $200 for scratched ones on ebay, and $280 for a perfect set from a CL member, I go for the better ones here.
I paid quite a bit more than that for a perfect set, and I have no regrets. They are sick.
To guarantee a perfect set bid on entire headlight assemblies, and remove the projectors your self. You'll be the first person to molest the innards and can take your time and get them out cleanly. I've seen some single housings with scratch/hazed lenses or had broken tabs/mounts go for real cheap. Might take a while to find the other side too, but could be worth it if your not in a hurry and want perfect ones.
