thats a hell of a deal. i got my 99 for $9700. with 64k miles and could'nt find another with under 99k miles for less than $12-$13,000 reguardless of year. unless it had over 150k then they were $5-6,000.
congrats on the gs. i just got mine 2 weeks ago and have put over 4,000 miles on it and i LOVE it more every day.

i got mine from a friend of a friend.. 01 gs3 with 89k miles for 6500. overall its in good shape, paint could be better. lots of little rock chips all over the bumper/hood. i didnt have time to shop around though. i myself couldnt spend 10k+ on a 10 year old car. crazy. i have over 130k miles on it now though and its been a great car *knock on wood*

Well we made it back to Miami. We left Friday night 8:30 pm arrived in Chicago at 10:40 (Chicago time). We picked up by the sales rep from the Lexus dealer. Stayed the night at a Motel 6 across the street from the dealer which was convenient. Walked to the dealer right around 9:30 am, checked out the car, test drove made sure everything was up to par. Paid for the car and were on our way. We spent the next 3-4 hours driving around Chi-Town taking in the sites and just exploring.
Right around 2:30 (Chicago time) we headed south.. we had a 1400 mile drive to get the car back home. We drove and drove and drove, my brother and I making shifts. All in all it took us 18 1/2 hours to drive from Chicago, to Miami. Map Quest said it would take 24 hours, my brother and I held an avg speed of 80.8 mph the whole way down. No tickets, no issues, no nothing, totally uneventful. If it wasn't for a few 5 hour energy drinks I would have been able to make it.
Anyways here are some pics of the journey and the car back home.

Nice whip! Glad to see another clean GS in Florida. Did it spend all its life up north? How's the bottom of the car? Any signs of rust? I know that up north weather is brutal on the cars.

Niiiiice pickup! I've got the same car except w/navi and I love it. Great features.
Only complaints: shouldve had l-tuned springs from the factory along with steering wheel audio controls.
Good luck!

Car has ZERO RUST, cant even tell it was an up north car. I was shocked when I got it up on the lift for a thorough inspection.
I agree with the steering wheel controls would have been nice to have that.
The L-tuned springs I dont care for, as I rip out all the OEM crap anyways.
Thanks!
i was unaware that saddle was an option, my car is black inside. I would have held out for a white/Saddle Sport Design. but it is what it is.
