Default just installed tanabe touring medalion

just installed yesterday and it seems like it sticks in a little. for those of you that have this exhaust did you have to pull it out and if so how did u pull it? im just afraid that it will melt my rear lip seeing as the tip of the exhaust is in about 1/2 inch and sits pretty close to the lip

maybe but thats why im worried about melting it i talked to one other person who has this exhaust and a rear lip and he said that he had to pull it. the shop did it for him so he doesnt know how or where they did it from.

I don't see how someone would "pull" an exhaust. You could put some extra spacers by the flanges but that would misalign the exhaust. You could extend the tips. Weld on some extra piping.

you can either use longer 0 rings from autozone and it will dip down lower. as for "pulling" you can have the muffler shop cut the hanger position pull it more to where u want it then reweld the hanger in the spot u want it.

i would cut the inside of the muffler cutouts so it doesnt rub. as for extending it the only thing you can really do is cut the tips off and add more piping. seen this done several times. but if you ever resell the exhaust or take off the lip it will look funny and not sell very easily. good luck and post after pics on which route you took,

Yup. It's the rear lip.

The TM Touring Medalion will install flush with the stock 2GS rear bumper. That is why I got the Tom's rear lip:
