GS300 ML Dashboard center speaker
Finally bought my Lexus and I love it. 2003, sport design with the saddle leather and reallly clean.
Have had it like 3 weeks now, and already blew the center dashboard speaker though. I see they aren't the best quality after searching the site, but I could not find any information on how to replace, what to replace with or anything, and I've been searching a couple days now.
I also need to replace the sub above the trunk. Is it a 8" or 10" ? And has anyone replaced using 4 ohm sub (like the 10cvx) because I'm almost sure the 2 ohm L5 would not work

how is it possible to search for a few days and not find your answer? did advanced search in audio/video/electronics sub-forum? just did a quick search for "ml center speaker" - 36 results...so stop being lazy and do some reading.
Anyways, the sub is a 10" and there's someone selling a ML sub in the classifieds(or there are a gazillion threads on aftermarket subs/amps with step-by-step pics). Center dash speaker is useless unless you're planning to do a full 5.1 surround. Good luck.

No I definitely have been searching, just only under GS - Second Generation. New to the site and don't know all the areas.
I would not put another ML sub in, seeing as the first one has blown, and I'm sure a JL/Kicker would hit harder... I just want to know if it would function correctly, as I have no idea what the ohms are for the ML. ML system is like a black box.
Access the dash speaker by taking out navigation?

has anyone replaced the stock sub with an aftermarket one right in its place? and maybe an amp bolted to the back of the seat... I've been entertaining the idea lately but I don't want a big box or some hectic set up. I was wondering if it would sound good to just put another sub in the spot above the trunk and connect it to a decent amp.

ONLY the 2001+ models with the Mark Levinson package have this....i hated mine, it was blown replaced with a good quality tweeter and blew again. Its worthless without investing the money for a processor (which would be silly as i would only need it for this one speaker)
