the JDM and USDM taillights are the same regardless if they are 98-00 or 01-05
Here are the 98-00

The insurance taillights are a Japanese brand but I believe made in Taiwan. However hands down they are the best quality and best looking among the aftermarket taillights and never cause issues with the brake light sensor. I got the smoked bottom ones for my car![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I serious can't stand the "fake" LED look on the GS300. Are there ANNNNNNNNY tail lights out there that are just red/clear? WITHOUT LED????
Or is there some kind of way to break the "orange" part of to make clear? I forgot you could do that on the accord back in the old school days. If not, Im going with just the 01+ tail lights. Those LED's look hideous to me IMO. but please dont be offended, I dont mean to be disrespectful. Its just my opnion..

can we define JDM first? If JDM = aftermarket parts from Japan...well, ****, then so are a lot of them.
assuming we are talking OEM JDM, the JDM taillights do not have lights that seek from the side. The way you can see the taillight from the sideview is something for DOT compliance I think. Also, inner taillights are pre-wired for rear fog lights. The Japanese market only (well...maybe Canada too?) had 寒冷地仕様 (kanreichi shiyo) meaning, kind of like cold weather.
good thing the US didn't get it b/c i hate those ****tards who drive with their rear foglights on a clear night.
