Will the plastic backing of a 98-00 steering wheel fit the new 01 air bag if I decide to upgrade or will I have to purchase the grey plastic as well. I know for certain the 01-5 air bag is a different shape. I bought a wood wheel from japan but had to use my stock 98-00 plastic to assemble it. Now that I want to ungrade would I have to order all new 01 plastic covering including a 01 air bag. Also, can the 01 bag even fit this wheel? Here are some pictures......

The 98-00 airbag will not fit on the 01-05 wheel and the 01-05 airbag will not fit on the 98-00 wheel. The gaps are way off on both and it wont look good.
