Default Pictures of shaved fenders "good work"

Im about to get my car into the shop and want to show them a nice executed work so they can have something to look at. It needs to be done alright and im going realy flushed..

A good bodyshop would know what to do. It isn't rocket science and if the shop isn't able to feel confident in doing so. I suggest you move on to one that can.

^^ that looks solid. Did u cut anything before u start to belt sand the rest? Or did u go with the beltsander allready from the beginning? Its like 15mm or more to take away:/ just curious

If you use a 60 grit belt it cuts fast, within 30 min. Most shops don't have practice using a belt sander; they have cutting tools and disc sanders. Belt sanding is a lot safer for the novice at home because the other tools can get out of your hands and scratch the front fender paint accidentally, if you don't have a lot of experience using them.


I posted on several threads on the process I used. You can do a search for keywords like "shave" and posts by "RMMGS4".
