New Lexus/GS300 Owner
Just purchased my first Lexus. A 1998 Lexus GS300, suprising found one with LOW LOW miles, 74k. I love this car!! Last few cars I've owned have been 00 Mustang GT, 97 Z28 Camaro, and most recent, an 01 GTP. The reliability of these cars is what sold me. A relative has a 99 GS300 with over 300K on the original motor/tranny. Will probably just leave this car stock and drive it. After modding my last few vehicles, it'll be cheaper in the long run. I may change the grille, and I already have some 17" GS400 wheels on the wire. Will this ride a bit rougher going from the 16" wheels? Any new advice/features on this car anyone would like to share would be appreciated!!

Thanks for the welcomes! Another question, I realize this car is 13 years old now, but is in perfect shape inside and out. I bought the car for 9k$. That a good deal for a GS with the low miles?

Yeah I think you got a good deal on the car. Just make sure you get the 90k service done.
Timing belt/water pump.. It'll run you around $1k unless you can find a independent mechanic that'll give you a break.
Other than that you'll love the car, and welcome to the club. You'll love it.

nice pick! 74k is low for a 98.. but it seems like your car has been repainted? i notice the paint is a lil different on ur front bumper n front left fender. or it was just the lighting?

Thanks for the kind words and welcomes. Car hasn't been repainted... I believe it is just the lighting. I'm waiting for my GS400 Wheels to come in the mail. I hope it looks better than the 16" chromies on there now which will become snow tires eventually. The chrome is flaking off on them. Does anyone replate these kind of wheels, and is it expensive. Hope going to the 17" wheels doesn't make for a harsh ride... that's all I am really concerned about.
