^ of course I know that! The only reason why BiggVinh has a super streach going on is because his 265's are on a 12" wide wheel!!! Holy crap that's wide. Mine are only 9.5" as previously stated.
Just go with a 35series sidewall. Even if it's only a 4% fluctuation in you're speedo that's not bad at all. 4mph at 100mph or 3mph at highway speeds. Barely noticeable!
I used to have 275 35 19s on my 9.5 Inch wide rims back when I was staggered. I used this set up for a while but for some reason after I kept carrying around my friends it started rubbing on the right side. I'm not really sure what happened. My offset was 38 on that rim but I was confused because it only rubbed on one side.

Lol, a stock GS400 doesn't have any traction issues, you could run a 245 and it wouldn't spin the tires
The problem is, I am not stock! The MAIN REASON why I have traction issues off the line is due to my 3000rpm stall PI torque converter. Yes, I did also add around 40whp and 50wtq up from stock power levels with my bolt-ons but NOW also add the effects of an aggressive high stall TC.
About 2 yrs ago I took someone for a ride in my car (he was selling a '99 SC'd GS400 that I was looking at) and he COULDN'T BELIEVE that I wasn't supercharged. It felt VERY similar to his car believe it or not up to around 50/60mph or so; so he stated. His car DID need a serious re-tune though. He was probably on the very low end of the spectrum power-wise for an SC'd GS400; if I had to guess he was putting out around 330whp.
I am telling you, the high stall TC (combined with my extra bolt-ons) makes the car FEEL like it has an additional 30-40whp easy on top of what my current numbers are.
I know I can simply go 1/2 or 3/4 throttle and once 15-20mph comes I can just WOT but it almost defeats the purpose of having a high stall TC. I am trying to set my car up (for the street) where I can just mash it WOT off the line with minimal wheelspin; grab and go. This is what I am trying to achieve. I'll get there...with research and asisstance from you guys as well! I always welcome any feedback I can get!
I run sticky 275's on my 500whp Supra and have no issues, why are you guys having traction issues with 270whp?
Not to sound like a smart @ss. But doesn't your turbo supra have a power band you need to work with that isn't necessarily as available as a NA V8 at lower rpms depending on the size of the turbo?
And, what tires are you running? I need what you got!
