I decided to go air and felt Ksports kit offered the best bang for the buck. After talking to excluesive for a couple months I finally took the plunge. This kit was redesigned to all sleeve bags to eliminate any rubbing issues on the GS. Hopefully, I'll be installing this month. Any tips for install with people who run air? Here's a quick pic.
I got an airforce kit, and it has all the same components as yours except for the compressors. Mine came with an air zenith one. I changed all the fittings to push in d.o.t. Ones, put digital gauges, added a switch box,put a 8 valve big red, replaced the tank for an aluminum one, and even in the process of adding another compressor. So I pretty much just used the compressor and struts lol. Installation was pretty easy just time consuming.
I want to air up the system and let it sit over night to see if there are any leaks. Any tips on how to pressurize the system without hooking it up to the struts?
For sure... You can connect everything in the trunk, then just have the struts connected but not installed in the car. You'll likely need some extra airline for this just in case. But this test is something you want to do, I wish I had thought about doing thing during my installs.
I believe the "big amp thing" you refer to is the selinoid box to control the 4 bags on the car, but I maybe wrong. Nice toys definetly wanna see it on the car and functioning. Have fun with the install.
hmm how many valves does this set use?
im guessing 4 only.
i suggest getting a manifold or 8 valves, a digital switchbox, and a dakota digital display
thats the best you can get. u will get very tired of the manual setup
