I have a 99 Lexus GS400 and when I open the left front door, the door light does not come on, the circle light around the ignition key does not come on, the interior light does not come on, and the light on the door does not come on. The other 3 doors work well. I know that the door switch that detects when the door is open or closed on the drivers side is bad and needs to be replaced, but i cannot find the part online because I do not know the exact name. I want to find the dealer part. Anyone know the part number because my friend works at Toyota and can give me a discount.

do a search ....unfortunately u will have to buy the latch (sensor is inside the latch) and actuator assembly...i have same problem with my 2 back doors..

Hi , I'm new to club lexus I have the same problem as you alexdan. My 2 back door lights are intermitant or do not light at all. I used by multimeter to measure the voltage in the door and i got about >1V on one side and about 6volts on the other side. I have two blue 1.5W leds in my front doors that work fine. This is an annoying problem. I think I will wait until its warmer to fix this problem i will post a reply when i fix it.
