I just got my new wheels MRR GT1 19" 8.5F 9.5R with 245/35 F 275/30 R... My first quote was $45 per wheel for mount and balance. Does this sound right? Thanks

thats about right. I got my 19s for $185 mount and balance. The cheaper you go the more likely they will damage the wheel, mess up the balance..ETC..
I save the cheap tire shops for my daily civic 15s, but for some nice expensive 19s..im willing to spend a little to have no headaches.

That sounds about right. We charge the same rates at the shop I work at. But we also charge based on size and how low profile too. Have any of you ever tried to mount a 285/25R20?? its not exactly a 2 minute job and its HARD! and it would make sense to charge the same price if it were like a 14" steel rim with something like a 185/65R14 which does take like 2 mins. But thats just my .02

That sounds about right and legit.
Try dismounting stretched tires..

i guess it depends on what part of the country youre from. i got a hookup for 10 a tire here in socal but like stated above 25-35 is normal. but you also pay what you get for. i took a pair of my spare drift wheels to get the tires dismounted to some little hole in the wall shop paid $5 and they scratched the ***** out of my wheels.
