Was wondering if this would fit on a gs300, i searched and saw some say no some say yes...debating if i should buy one or does anyone know one that fits the gs300?

Not sure about fitting over the engine cover, but it should fit without the engine cover.

As long as its made for the GS then yes it will fit. But as Pete stated, there is will be issue with fitting it over the engine cover.

If your talking about the one piece tube style trd bar, I read it rubs the throttle body/intake manifold that goes over the engine, I think it was made for the aristo.

I bought one from Infamous1 a while ago, knowing I was going with a GTE swap and the bar wouldn't be an issue then, I did try it on the stock motor and it does infact rub. If you use spacers under the bar mounts it would probably clear ok, it wouldn't take much as it's so close to fitting.. (note that I don't have the engine cover, so that may not fit at all)

Did it fit fine on your 430? I didn't ever ask if you had ran the bar or bought it but never installed it back when I bought it off you?

Even tho the 400/430 is much bigger it looks to be a little lower because of the massive intake over the motor on the 300..

I can post a pic showing that it does rub if really wanted.. (I'd have to go reinstall it tho..)

Steven, you turd...just find something that you're not going to 2nd guess. The Carson bar is cheap and made by Carbing...will fit.

i had found a link with a guy claiming to fit it with the cover on but im not going back through the 6 of 10 pages (i stopped after 6 pages of searching TRD strut bar) to find it

You can see how tight it is in the pic in that link, keep in mind that even if it does barley clear that the motor also moves when you drive the car. So you need to account for extra clearance for that as well.



I may take some pics tonight close up so CL has a clear record in the search history of the fitment of this bar.

I love the bar, but its mainly a looks preference. For a GTE or a 400 it's a great piece, for a GE probably more trouble than it's worth unless you really love it since there are so many bars out there to choose from.

The way I see it is:

Pros:

it's a TRD part
it looks super beefy
it's fairly lightweight for how big it is

Cons:

won't clear the GE intake directly
if spaced to clear it may hit the hood
it covers the adjustment ***** if you have coilovers

well then just buy ,my carson replica STB it has uber clearance on the gs430 motor

thats true....but i never said it fit and i know your not saying it did. i would imagine it wouldnt fit with the cover
