Is there a walk through our guide on how to install a 2001-2005 oem radio in a 1998-2000 gs300? Should i stick with Pioneer or can i use a Mark Levision?
I like the factory system, don't want to rewire and add a amp for a aftermarket head-unit.

I have seen older post telling people to contact a member who makes the harness but he is no longer active on the forums.

So what harness do i need? Tips Pics suggestions please.

Also can you add steering wheel controls to a 2000 Gs? Is it as simple as buying a gs430 wheel with controls(plug n play)?

Why don't you just install a 2000 GS radio?

 

If you want an aftermarket amp with out changing ur stock radio just use a hi low adapter. Thats what i did.

 

Ironic you posted this. I've posted a simular thread trying to find the same answers a few months ago. I'm still trying to find an answer to making a 01-05 radio work in my 99. If you find the answer, or somebody that can make the harness, please let me know.

I'm wondering if just switching out the applifier to a 01-05 apm to match the radio would simply resolve the issue.

He probably has the same reason as I do, whcih is because of the fact that the 98-00 models did not come with RDS. My radio is broken and I have to replace it anyway, so might as well replace it with a newer OEM radio while at the same time gaining the benefit of RDS.
