i can not for the life of me find an alternator ground. im thinking mine is bolted to the eingine and picks up its ground from engine?
i can only find TWO wires on the alt. one is the positive and the other is the one right next to the positive which is a clip on thing. i lifted the car and went underneath it and i looked near sway bar and around it and there is NO other wire. wtf?
mine is a gs300 and urs was a gs4 brian, maybe thats why?

The alternator doesn't have a ground. You have the output that goes to the battery and a plug that turns it on with the ignition.
I own a 99 and I know that there is a ground that connects to the bottom mounting bracket of the alternator.
What are you wanting to actually ground? You ground from your battery to your chassis and a ground from your battery to the block...

im doing the big 3 and i posted a diy on the big 3 and brian (another member on here) was telling me i forgot the alt ground and he kept assuring me there is a ground on the alt. he even posted pics of an alt with a ground on the gs, but i cant find any ground on my alt. i just wanted to add a 0 gauge ground to it, just to be sure everything is good.
anyone else can chime in?
thanks jcastaneda though. makes sense since those are the only two wires i can find on the alt.

NP...Yeah you don't ground your alternator. I have the Big 3 done my self. I have a 1/0 power wire that runs along with the regular stock power wire from the alternator to the battery...That would be 1 of the 3...the other 2 are what I talked about in my pervious post. Good luck...let me know if you have anyother questions.
