I just bought a set of the OEM 17x8 5 spoke chrome wheels and need some center caps.

I don't know what the original (2001 GS430) center caps looked like - was it something like this:

Thanks, but neither of these items show up any more. Are they different from what I posted? Can you show a picture of what they are supposed to look like?

My understanding is that the original center caps seated on the wheel, whereas the new models have them flush with the wheel, i.e. inset in the opening, right?

has anyone tried to fit center caps from another lexus onto the gs430 17s, one of the ones that fit flush? i tried the ones from an ES350 but they dont fit.

 

I think all other Lexus center caps are a bit different - even if they may "fit", they won't look right unless they are the right overall diameter. The last link in my first post is the correct cap for the GS with 17" wheels. I ended up purchasing a set of brand new Lexus center caps from the dealer. I got them for about $18 ea, cheaper than folks on e-bay wanted for used ones, go figure.

 

mine are faded, didnt even think about getting them from the dealer until you mentioned it.

 

I didn't either at first, but after seeing them for $24 on ebay (used), I was happy to find them for $18 brand new at Lexus of Pembroke Pines.
