Default The weirdest thing ever happened...

whats up everyone, I have a 99 GS3 with 142k and something very weird happened last night on the highway. I was driving about 50mph when the dash lights suddenly all turned off for 2 seconds and the car felt like it lost power, then it suddenly went back on. It happened about 3 times, then it went away and I was able to drive another 15 miles on the highway safely home. PLEASE someone tell me if this happened to them, it really scared me. Thanks

Dont forget to check out the battery cables' connections. If they are lose that may happen.

Yeah, probably the cables. The freeway bumps and stuff might have loosened the cables.

Yup I went to auto zone and they checked for hidden codes or a CEL and nothing, they checked the battery and alternator and they said it was fine.

Where you hitting any major bumps, is it possible that your battery was able to ground out in anyway. When ever power dies like that and suddenlyu comes right back it is a loose connection or grounding some where major. Go through what you can and you cant trust all the guys at any given auto zone get a 2nd opinion.

Check your battery terminals if they're loose or corroding (white deposits on terminals) and ground cables, I've had similar problems with my Soarers before.
