Sweet pictures! Great progress..

I would think you wouldn't be to slow on the gearing with the gs300 3.92 rear ratio?

From all the reading I've been doing on the supraforums, the r154 is a good match with the Supra Auto 3.76.. But that would pick up even slower if you went that route?

You sure you don't a GS400 rear diff by some chance with the 3.26, or the jdm supra small pumpkin 6spd diff that had 3.26 as well?

JDM TT manual (3.266:1)
JDM NA manual (3.768:1)
JDM TT auto (3.769:1)
JDM NA auto (4.083:1)

so 3.26 ratio would make my car pick up faster at low gears right?

The higher the rear diff number, the more revolutions the tire will make for one turn of the transmission. And in turn on the highway your rpm's would be higher at the same speed.

So from what you describe you want a higher rear gear like the 4.08, your gears will be shorter and you will shift sooner.

I feel it seems odd that the 3.92's aren't tall enough for you though?
Tire diameter changes are the equivalent to rear gear changes too. put a smaller rear tire on and you will pic up rpms quicker...

What tire sizes you running at the speed/rpm you mention on the freeway?

Have you verified what gear you actually have now? Maybe the previous owner put a GS400 diff in to get better gas milage at the cost of acceleration?
