First off My car is a 98gs300 with 85k. I realize that the water pump and timing belt should be changed but water pump was done at about 65k
So with that being said I basically just wanna know what else NEEDS to be changed at 90k..............and yes I know there are threads on this but alot of them simply says what THEY would change so can anyone tell me what NEEDS to be done at 90k
And no I don't have the manual handy that's why I'm asking the experts

Well with the timing belt/water pump service generally its recommended to do cam seals as well as front main seal since you already have everything apart.
I'd probably do some lower ball joints and caster arm bushings if those havent already been addressed as they can cause serious issues down the road (Search and you'll see)
Then probably just general tune up stuff, plugs, air filter, etc.

Go to the Lexus Owners site and you can review the manual there online. Or there should also be a button somewhere to request a manual be sent to you (for free)
Then you will know lexus's recommendation.
There is no real difference between "NEEDS" and someone's opinion of what needs to be changed. The only 2 real categories of opinions are Lexus' recommendations, and bundle everything else as opinions from the internet.
Technically, none of this "needs" to be changed, even at the recommended interval is the most conservative value. In practice, timing belt probably has a lot of leeway, and will last much longer then it's stated life before it actually breaks. But if it does break, you are SOL.
Changing the fluids is the same. Even if you didn't change any fluids out, your car will still work for a (long) time.
At a 12year old car, you can begin to plan for how much you want to spend on maintenance versus just rolling the dice.
Especially the timing belt. You probably are just going to do this one time, so you can do it now, in 5k, in 10k it doesn't matter anymore.
Think of it this way, belt1 was good for 13years, Do you see yourself operating the car for another 13years to do another belt change? No point in getting the last bits of life from belt1.

Why dont you inspect your timing belt, It must have looked descent at 65k if your mechanic didnt change it then as I would have if it where me. If its in good shape minimal cracks and no teeth missing. maybe you could stretch the interval to 100k and do both then. After that you could foreseeably go another 100k with the two as my car (i stress every car is different) went 200k miles on the original water pump and timing belt! (not recommended to any one) GL

200k? Wow I couldn't imagine waiting that long I'd be too paranoid.
As far as the water pump goes I just saw that it was changed when I read the carfax....I got the car with 81k and I don't drive alot so I probably won't hit 90k till about 2012 lol but I was still curious because I'm gettin close
I finally have the car Ive always wanted so I wanna take care of it that's all

But if you think about it logically, you might as well do it now for peace of mind and for the fact that you only need to do this once. If as you said you don't drive much, you're not going to get to 180k and need to change again. So might as well do it now, so you start putting the new belt to use.
But what about the wasted 5k of "life" left on the old belt? well, if you think ahead, you're going to have just as much if not more wasted "life" when you get around to the end of life of the new belt 13years from now.
