if you want assurance on a good job, a body shop should be able to take it off and cleaned in literally five minutes. a spatula or spackle thingy will take it off, carefully of course, and they'll have something that is basically a giant eraser to just rips the goo off in seconds and a quick polish to clean up.

i also thought toog was asking a punk question, but nope. aristo is one thing, but V300 is kinda like "400/430" badging, making your car better than it is. but also look at it like this. people know about a 300 vs 400/430, but will be clueless on what a V300 is, so its not all showing off or whatever people call it. as long as you don't run around telling people lies

what is really stupid is a EX sticker on an LX accord and the guy thinks he's V-TEC king. now that's funky

How about this kind of badging? I've got the l-tuned ecu. Do you think that suffices for the l-tuned badging on the sides? What do you guys think?

you have a little l-tuned. some may want more to warrant a badge, but i wouldn't say anything about it. but Dinan and others won't ever sell badges, and only install them if a certain number or parts are installed

l-tuned badge is also pretty subtle, especially on the side. kinda like the platinum or sport suspension badges. i have the lsportline kit and exhaust and have the tiny chrome badge above the driver-side chrome strip, right at the door hinge. only badge i got, and it wasn't going in the back for all to see

Personally,
I think that if you want it... you should do it. It will make it look better. Who cares if you have the goods or not. My .02 I mean who will ask to check???

Hehe, true. I don't mean to call out any attention by the badges. Just one or two on the side because I think it looks better and fills up a gap in a way.

I guess I'll wait until I save up enough money for the l-tuned exhaust so it won't bug me or so I won't have to worry what people would say at the meets oh well. thanks guys.

So would anyone object to completing my aristo look with the "vertex edition" badges on the sides?? As I understand it, they are part of the set and not added performance parts as with l-tuned or rmm stuff. But I suppose I should know what the hell it is first. Anyone??? Or is this just a standard right hand drive gs300 in Japan?

Default ReAppling Badges

Whats up Guys,

I decided to debadge my car about a week ago, Iam not to crazy about the look of it now -- to me it looks to plain in the back
It looks alot better with the emblems on

My question is can I reapply them , is there a certain kind of 3m tape that i can use to put on the back of emblems

Thanks

Yeah, but I would just buy new ones... It will be much cleaner than if you try to cut the tape and apply it behing the badging. You will waste a lot of time trying to cut it. Just buy the new ones... That's what I would do anyway.

Rockero28,

I prob. will just buy a new set, but first I want to try and put the tape on the back and see how it looks

How much for a GS3 emblem set
And what tape do I look for (3m,double sided,etc...)

thanks

Lightbulb Badges

Well, I think they should be about $90.00 a set give or take for the four trunk emblems. That is what they run here in SoCal. Just remember that you will have to basically cut the tape to the shape of the emblems. This is hard because of the shape. Just go down to your Lexus dealer and buy a new set. That 3m tape is not easy to cut in thin places, trust me I had already tried it.

rock,

the true aristo vertex is a twin turbo right hand with many other upgrades. but smack it on if you like. i bought just the aristo badge and took off all else, but haven't put it on since i really like that clean look. though it is a little simple at times, as was already stated here

Badges are over-rated. Leave them off!!

I can't truthfully say that, mine has the ARISTO center lamp (1st Gen) in back and a Veilside "V" up front. I love the looks people give as they speed up, slow down, speed up, etc... to try to figure out what it is!

Thumbs up Badges

Damnnn, so it is a twin turbo huh??? Well, mine is not, but I like the badges.. They only add to the look of the Aristo badging. What do you think cool or not cool>??? To Vertex or not to Vertex??? Please be nice.
