Thats a nice setup for sure...

I was thinking of placing mine in the cornor, like right against the trunk panel
and have it fiber glassed a little later down the road.

Whats the silver paper (lack of a better word) used for ?

if you want to get the most out of the dual battery system, get an isolator as well. that way you can park and listen to the radio or play with the suspension and still be able to crank up and leave.
Yes I have tons of questions, I searched the net, googled, checked forums etc... so I have a certain idea whats going to happen. Just not a clear picture.

I have all the parts, 0-4 awg wiring, isolator, terminals etc...

How would you go about setting it up, and where would you locate the rear battery ? Making for a clean install.

And will be doing the big three since Im also installing an HO alternator.

thanks

The dynamat? It's a sound deadening material. It helps to stop rattling and keep the bass inside the car.

Oh ok, so its worth the money.

How about if you dont have a crazy sound system ?

Does it have other purposes, I like how it prevents rattling.

And if people dont mind writing long posts, explaning the installation of
a dual battery setup with an isolator.

thanks, hopefully with this knowledge the ICE shop
wont try and pull a fast one with the labor.

a snug fit box would work great. u can even make a box that uses some of the bolts already there, just extend it to go through the box =)

the guy who made and installed my alternator said a isolater wasnt a good idea, i researched and some people say it is safe for the charging system and some people say its not safe for charging system

The kinetik tray is perfect. Need to pick one up.
Bolts and tie down as well.

As for the installation, if some people say the isolator is safe and other say
its not. Does safe mean catching fire ?

I wouldnt want that to happen ?

Brian the trunk just keeps getting better and better, along with the suede.
WOW

WOW
check the PM u should be able to find it there, i bought a FIGS CNC battery holder along time ago and now putting it to use.

you can get one from here

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/clu...ry-bar-gb.html

next i went to a local hardware store and bought some all thread that would fit through that battery holder, some locking washers, some regular washers, some locking nuts, and some nylon nuts for the top so they wouldn't come loose.

i dont think they meant by fire i think he meant it can overcharge the charging system....i didnt argue and im not saying they are a bad idea. im saying HE said it was, i didnt know so i took his advice as he builds alternators for a living and i figured is fairly knowledgeable in this field

BTW what truck?

By any chance does any one know what the approx rate is for pexy glass ?

I am thinking of getting the battery box made from plexy glass, getting
the trunck ready for show like status.

I will be meeting the installer this sunday to see what he says on how
the install will go. Just hope I dont get ripped off...

thanks Brian;

Yea where I live hardly any modifications are on cars, so the guys
that know how to do it, charge a lot.

I think one shop is 80 an hr for 'custom' stuff.
That shop is 1 hr away at least.
