Default Roof spoiler fitting help plzzzzzz

hi guys

i got my roof spoiler from Taiwan. its made from flexi rubber kinda material its not solid hard spoiler i think material is known as TUF or PUF some thing like that.

my question is, spoiler is not perfect fit, now im not sure if they have sent me wrong one or there is some trick to fit it.

if i push / force it then it sits perfectly but i dont think so sticky tape would be able to hold it in place. you have to bend it hard to sit perfectly.

any suggestions guys ?

thanks

it's fine, you will need to bend it along the roof line. i used the 1/8" body tape (i forget the brand). the brand of tape to use is discussed on here. my spoiler came with some clear adhesive to put on the window to help the tape stick. I put the adhesive down and let it dry. put the tape on the spoiler. then you pick one side and start laying it down. the fit is tight, you need to get it into the corners.

I think a good heat soak from the sun on it and it being held into place might form it in the shape it needs to be. GL

I think that is the same spoiler I was looking to buy. Was it for $70 USD shipped and painted or something? Can you get side view pics of it. Let me know how the installation goes

i got the same one. i put mine onto the rubber seal. it looks better when the seal is covered.
use the supplied glue on the rubber seal on the car. then allow to dry

From the pic, it looks like its cold out.. Glues dont like cold..nor do I, i feel it in my bones..

I would wait till its nice and warm/hot to install, while doin this use a Hair dryer to soften the tape and soften the spoiler, so it will be easier to bend, you must do this cause if its painted and forced to stretch it will crack off.. As Entryspeed said, the best way is to install and place under the sun or a heat source for a good length of time to help conform to the roof/glass shape

like ****-adkt said, dont install when it's cold, it will not stick properly and will come off. i learned that the hard way. wait till its warm.
