2003 GS300 vs. 2002 LS430...which would you choose?
I'm debating between these two cars which are selling for around the same price, $12-$13kish, but can't decide which car/engine is better. I know the GS has the 2JZ-GE and the LS has the 3UZ-FE, both of which are great, but is there any significant difference in quality?
The '03 GS has 72k miles, and the LS has 92k miles. The LS interior has more wood inside, but no nav system and I don't think it has Mark Levinson audio. The GS has the Nav system, Levinson audio, Xenon lights, etc.
The GS300 is a Carfax 1-Owner vehicle, has never been in any accidents, nothing reported...the LS430 has been in a rear ender, airbags didn't deploy, and has had 2 or 3 owners I believe.
They're both the same price. Which would you choose?

Well I can tell you that I have a 2003 GS300 (SD, Nav, ML sound, etc.) with around the same mileage (mine has 80K), and I love it. It's only 220hp, so for power it's not the best. Depends on what you want out of the car. If you really need the v8, go with the LS. With gas prices the way it seems that they are about to go, I went with the 300 vs the 430, and I love my car. Mine's white with Saddle Leather interior. What are the colors/interiors of the cars you are looking at?

i would go with the gs300 less miles navi a bit less on gas .. i experinced driving both pops got a 05 ls i got a 03 gs .. the ls is best with navi you can resell it faster . the gs ur looking is clean record the ls has a record on carfax if some one is really **** they will mind it . i sold my pops old 05 ls with a front fender hit that we repaired the guy didnt mind i had pic of b4 and after so he was fine with it .
i would go wit the GS 300 also whats the colors

Thanks guys, the color is some weird color I'm not too fond of, the LS is some Midnight green color...I'm not too worried about all that, I don't wanna race it or do anything, i just want a car that'll last me another 100k miles for sure with the least amount of problems...I guess maybe they both would so it would all come down to looks, in which case they're both super nice lol
I test drove the LS430 a couple days ago, and will pass by and check the GS today, but it's safe to assume both of these rides have a ton of life left in them?
None of them have had the timing belt changed, so i guess the GS would be farther away from that.

I think on your scenario the Gs is the best way to go. With 70k miles, a well taken care 2jz will last way more than 100k miles on top. The mpg is not a big concern as they're both about the same : http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.htm. You already know the car fax is clean on the Gs and it has lower mileage from the get go. not to mention that if you did have to do some work on the Gs and, it would be a breeze. Look at the engine bay on both cars and see wich one you would prefer to work on.
