VSC light and check engine light is on..

I had the code reset to turn off the VSC light and the check engine light. Now it is back on. I just had the timming belt and water pump replaced. Does anyone know why the check engine light and the VSC light would come back on after being reset and turned off?

My guess would be if they where not on prior to timing belt service, then either 1 the timing service was done incorrectly or 2 something sensor whise wasnt hooked up or 3 A sensor was broke of some sort and now not working properly. GL to you
