hi guys

lexus GS300 MK2

my power steering fluid is leaking from some where. and when i move my steering wheel pump makes noise.



its dark just now so cant really see where its leaking but i can see fluid on bottom plastic tray/cover thingy and fluid level is very low.



going by experience what do you rekon guys is it just leak from some where ? pipe etc



3 questions please.



1. what type of fluid do i need. can i get this fluid from halfords ?



2. do you rekon its just leak and once leak is all fixed, top up and thats about it ?



3. in worst case , is it big expensive job in terms of labour and part.

i just checked every thing in day light.

oil level is fine and i dont see any leaks.

when i checked yesterday i thought that was oil at bottom but actually that was just water and some old oil from some where.

fluid level is fine but pump is still making noise and on full lock it gets worst.

what you think guys i need to replace my power steering pump ? noise is not that bad can i just leave it as it is for just now ?
