How to test the cd changer?
Hey guys, I don't have a cd changer magazine for my gs300. Before I buy one, I want to test to make sure the cd changer works. When I press the CD button on the radio, nothing happens. Is this normal because it doesn't have a magazine in it, or is there something else wrong. I had planned on changing out everything audio related, but after reading about the audio hack, I don't plan on changing anything now. That hack really made the stereo sound much better. Thanks everyone for the help, this website has been a real lifesaver in the past few months of ownership.

It will not go into CD mode unless there is a cartridge in the deck. PM me if you want one of them, if you pay shipping you can have it for free. My RX has 6-cd built in and I have a ton of the magazines laying around from my old ES and GS so I should probably be able to dig up one of them for you!
