Default Vent problem, does anybody else have this?

This doesn't happen all the time but occasionally my vent blows out disgusting odors.. I can't even describe the smell.. I have to use two jdm air freshners and keep my window open at all times (only when that happens)

is this like a common problem in 2gs when theres climate change? does an air filter needs to be replaced?? someone help please <3
