yes that should work, it comes with the harness, resister and 9005 led unit. mine are brighter than the ones in this picture though. how much is it for everything? i couldnt find a price

Sorry to revive an old thread. Ive been searching for weeks on info about the DRLs. This thread is the closest ive found.
I have LED DRLs that work fine. But lately my DRL module i think has crapped out. Just trying to see if anyone knows where the location of it is. The green boxed module, not the fuse box relay.

You need a resistor for the LEDs because the DRL module must see a load on it. Any other solution will not work

I have a 1999 GS300 w/o HIDs. Need some help with converting the lights, especially up front, to bright white LED. I’m kinda familiar with 9005, 9006 for hi and lo beams. I read a lot of conflicting info regarding the 192/194/168/2825 peanut bulb that I think is the DRL. Can you provide some clarity and some good choices without spending hundreds on front bulbs? TIA.😎

Alright. First things first. The DRLS are your high beam bulbs at 50% power. So that's your 9006s.

The 192/194/168/2825 conflict are the NRLs. Or city lights as some call them. They are in that middle globe too, at the bottom. Check out Polarg M4s and M6s for those. Both are good choice.

Whatever LEDs you buy the most important part is that you make sure the light source comes from the same location as a halogen bulb because thats what the reflector was designed for. Higher end LEDs have 2-4 LEDs (like the Morimoto 2stroke 2.0) with 1-2 on each side of a wafer. Any bulb covered covered with tiny LEDs is going to have terrible light output and you'll be sorely disappointed.
