Default Question for those running (-)camber.

Im currently running -3.5 camber on 18x10 +0 in the rears. i drive LOWLOW daily, and the inner tire walls are all cracked and torn. is this normal? I noticed this pattern on both side after one tire blew while driving.

With that much camber, yes, overtime tires will trash out. what size tire is it? Having a stretched tire will make it worse.

The price you pay when you like that style.

Of course, what do you expect when running all of the cars weight on the 1/4 inner edge of the tire lol. Tires are designed to have the load dispersed evenly along the entire surface. When you concentrate most of the weight and force on the inner 1/4 edge of the tire, it will lead to tire damage and/or extreme premature wear.

you need to get your TOE in spec. and camber would be the last issue youre going to worry about. TOE kills your tires. my friend is running -7 or -8 degress just in the front. and hes STATIC.

Curious what brand tire that cracked and blew?
What tire size did you put on your 18x10?

Most tires would crack and blow, brand really isn't a factor here. Tire size and alignment numbers are the main issue. Toe is one degree you want zero'd out, like biggvihn said, camber will eventually tear your tires up, just not as soon as the combo of poor camber and toe. There is a guy on here selling some tires with bad toe wear, if I can find them, I'll post the link so you have an idea of what toe can do.

-3.5 camber isnt to bad... -3.5 + Stretch tires is bad... like Jeff said.. youre running on 1/4 of the tread.. and to me i believe it sounds like your inner edge sidewall is making contact with the ground too.

At -3.5 degree, you are getting camber wear, but you can still preserve tire life somewhat.

I was running static with -11.5 in the rear and now at -8.5 with the toe spot on and haven't had any premature or odd wear besides no wear on the out part of the tire.
