Default Details on this valance piece? (pics)

Local guy is selling this for a 2nd Gen GS300/400.

He claims its a "origin" style replica valance.

Anyone ever hear of this brand before? Id like to get more details on it, figure out how much a brand new one is to see if the used price is far off.

He's asking for $175 which seems like a lot considering a) Id have to sand it down, paint it for my GS b) that its a used piece and scratched up at that!

Search for Origin Lab. They're popular with the 240SX community and has good fitment from what I've seen over the years.

Only problem is Origin Labs doesnt make anything for the 2GS. I would be pretty cautious buying this kit

You're right. Origin Lab doesn't have any Lexus application at all. Best to just stay away.

Maybe its the pics, but it looks like one of those half bumper add-ons. Meaning, its not quite a lip kit, and its not quite a complete bumper (with headlight cutouts) so it starts under them and looks pretty weird.

but as said above, $175 for a bumper is cheap as heck for any bumper.

Yeah. The only company I know who makes half bumper add-ons like this is Fabulous. But that sure as hell isn't. It might not even be foe a GS at all hahah

Stay away from this. No known applications, and replica = 2 strikes

Well, maybe its the bad picture, but it looks to have the cutouts for the foglights and has a very similar look to the bottom part of our bumper. If its an addon (fake or not) isnt it just a matter of butting up the bumper to his car for fitment right? whether its for his application or not, if it fits properly isnt that all that matters?

Ive seen the addon on a white 2gs before, Its not Origin, Cant remember the name of the company off the top of me head. I think it might be a Fabulous knock off, But If I recall correctly the owner was not happy with the install as you would have to use rivets along the side of the bumper for it to stay on.

$175 not a bad price!

I hope you have side skirts and a rear bumper to match that add on. The car will look weird with just that on.
