I'm an owner of a ford svt lighting and I've been doing research on a new GS 300 for my g-friend who is deciding on whether to get a GS300 or a TL type S. I have a few questions that I'd like to ask and would appreciate answers to. I think she's leaning toward a GS300.
- What is dealer invoice on a new 02 GS300 sportpackage?
- How extra are xenon headlamps?
- Are any recalls or known problems with the car?
- Is their a link to a page that shows me all available options?
- What's the Levinson package?
- Is the NAV worth it and how much?
She's considering a type S cause it's almost 10k less fully loaded.
MSRP was $43,800 from a dealer in Northern Virginia and 4.9% apr for 5 yrs but it ends monday the 3rd of Sept. so she'll be buying this weekend. She has $25,000 to put down and if she finances through them they'll be getting more money out of her. I think she should offer $39,000 out the door, tax, tag, title, depending on the options. I think she'll only get xenons.
Thanks in advance guys and girls.

I'll reply for everyone...
Invoice -- go to Edmunds.com, Carsdirect.com & KBB.com
Xenons -- can't get them as a stand alone option; need to get the ML package, NAV package or NAV/ML package.
Recalls -- nothing I know of
Link -- see the links listed by invoice, also go to Lexus.com
Levinson -- go to Lexus.com (took the place of Nakamichi as the upgraded/premium stereo). I have it and like it, but you can always just get the basic stereo and change out the speakers with Dyns.
NAV -- got it, love it. Get it.
Good luck!

First of all definitely goto CarsDirect.com for a price and talk to the dealer they refer you to. Nobody came close to the price I got from them and some dealers even thought that I wouldn't get the price I was quoted. They saved me another $3600 off of MSRP on a 2002 GS300 Sports Design with Nav and Mark Levinson.
Here is a link to the edmunds.com page for the prices on the 2002 GS300. Scroll down on this page to the options and just add in the options you want.
