Talk is so cheap though...
How many GS300 owners have ACTUALLY done the full turbo mod and use it as a daily driver??? Not very many...
So even if it seems that the GS300 may - and that's a very iffy may - have a better platform to do a turbo mod, that doesn't mean there are more people actually doing it!
People tend to forget that, with money and time, you CAN perform some crazy mods on the V8 and build a pure NA motor putting out over 400 HP!!! Once again, it costs moeny, time, etc
We can all talk about it and it makes for interesting dinner table conversation, but in reality who really will does these crazy mods on EITHER GS platform?
In the end, you are stuck with either a mildly modded GS400 or a mildly modded GS300. I would take the GS4...no doubt...
If you really want to look at it from an options point of view, the GS300 has only one option and NEEDS forced air to bring it to a higher plane of performance level. However, you have TWO options for the GS400, build a NA motor putting out over 400HP or slap on the SRT supercharger, both of which are possible.

Which option would end up being more cost effective...getting a turbo on a GS3 thats put out 400+ hp or rebuilding the NA V8 to put out 400+hp or gettin the TT for the 4.0. I think doing the GS3 turbo i.e. SRT's stage 2 kit would be much cheaper than disassembling and rebuilding the 4.0 or getting the TT for the it. I'm not sure which would be more reliable but we'll find out when we start seeing more turbo GS3s and IS3s out there.

Labor is the most EXPENSIVE part in any serious mods IMO unless you know someone who can do it for free or at least very cheap ...

i WILL be one of the few that have this, and cong28 should one in hand, waiting for install. but like you said, how many 400 people have forced induction here? Mr johnson, and i can't think of anyone else. i'd be with a turbo had SRT announced their offering about two weeks earlier, when i bought new rims and such. i look back and bite myself in the *** if i could

i think the reason that u dont see TT GS300 guys is because, all the guys that plan on making their GS go fast either:
bought an IS300
bought a GS400
or.. got the GS3.. realized there is nothing, and gave up!
im not gonna say i gave up, but instead i just am working on a new car right now. I'll still do the swap however im pretty sure the guy from HKS is gonna get it before me!!! JZS 161 is his handle i THINK..

hehe, got my GS4 used. realized that a used GS4 cost around the same as a used GS3 for the same year, maybe a 1-2k more. for that, i got the GS4. no regrets, love it, kick a$$ with it, and GS3's have no chance against my car. makes me feel like the big brother of the Lexus family when i drive, except when i drive next to an LS4. now that is the father of Lexus.

and for the current GS, SRT is the only production supplier of forced induction

I asked if Lexlyf worked for Swift Racing Technologies... I got a reply saying that he worked for Toyomoto and the word "SIlly."
I don't take offense or anything, but under his sig it says what I quoted above. Would you not think that he works for SRT and not Toyomoto??? Unless someone is being sarcastic towards me?
