Check your In cabin filter
Just bought me a 98 gs300 2 weeks ago and decided to clean the filter. I wad shocked at what I found in there. I'm pretty sure this isn't the filter that belongs in there. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Looks like the original owner hacked up a welcome mat and placed in there.

Yea i think you can actually buy that material for home return air vents for your a/c system. But thats not good enough for the car LOL. good find

I also found a homemade filter in mine, it was that blue fiberglass material. I bought it from the original owner who paid 49k but decided to make a filter I can see through instead of spending $20.

Wow, some people never cease to amaze me. I replaced the one in my 98 just after I bought it. Looked brand new, but changed it anyway.

Yeah the guy I bought it from can afford two gs300 but can't afford a damn cabin filter. Glad he didnt think of that idea on the intake filter.
