I found a nice 2000 GS400 at a police auction coming up soon. Basically I'm wondering what are some things I should be looking for as far as how well the cars previous owner took care of it?
The only thing that concerns me is the car has cel on with the code P0763 which is a solenoid in the transmission, but as far as I've researched this shouldn't affect the transmission itself unles it was driven like this for a long period of time. However the car has been sitting for almost 2 months now and the battery won't start the car so maybe that code will go away once I get proper voltage to the ECM and other electrical components.
I've already planned on changing the oil, the ATF, the spark plugs and of course fixing that solenoid if it still has that cel on with a new battery.
What are some other things I should do once I get it to make sure it is in tip top shape cause it will have been sitting for almost 3 months and I don't know how well the previous owner took care of it?

It has 125,000 miles on it and I have a guy who is going to change all of the fluids and he said he can tell me if the timing belt and water pump have been changed or not and if not then I will get those changed as well.
So it looks like just the fluids mainly, the air filter, the spark plugs and maybe timing belt and water pump. Cool I don't want to dump any more money in it if I don't have to, but I do want it in good condition.
What about fuel filter and the bag?
I read on here about some guy saying to change it at 100,000 miles cause his was extremely dirty.
