Default camshaft cap vvTi can i remove it question

im in a middle of my valve cover change and i have question can i just pull off the cam cap on a driver side where the vvti is ( the top part and reseal it ?

my seals are not leaking but i think i have small leak from the top cap

Change the seals while you are in there. They are CHEAP. Yes, reseal the caps, (both of them) with the silicone gasket maker and you'll be good.

A little bit of silicone sealer is all you need for that part. Make sure you torque down to specification.
