Default Suspension 300vs400

are there any huge differnces between the suspensions on both versions of the gs? im curious because the coilovers i am interested in are for the 400 i have the 300 so i want to know before buying if it should just bolt on?

400 weighs more so yes they are different

GS300 and GS400 share the same suspension from the factory, minus the GS300 Sport Design. Those have slightly stiffer shocks.

The suspension is interchangeable so you can buy any 2GS coilovers.

50lbs difference

I only know of tanabe making different springs for the 300 vs 4xx, but they are still interchangeable.

They're the exact same. I'm running shocks and springs up front from an '02 GS300 with no issues whatsoever.

What about all the joints and bushings? Is it true that the later models have larger bushings?

they're the same...with the exception of the sport design model...they have sportier shocks.

The Later Model GS's have a different Caster Arm, though. I was looking at Sewell and noticed the part numbers are different between the 98 and 2005. Sewell offers 2 variations of the Caster Arm for the 98, one of them is the updated part which they offer for the 2005 and the other is the original.
