Engine sounds like a truck... what gives?

That engine is sick.... But I have to try thicker oil. Honestly I am not even sure what oil my mechanic put I'm there.
What viscosity do you guys think I should put?
Next step would be checking that bracket
Btw the car only has 129k miles. it wasn't doing this when I got it a year and a half ago

@HI98GS that is a sick engine dude fair play
@OP Sounds a bit like piston slap :/ what you could try is, run an engine oil flush (i recommend BG "quick clean for engines" if you can source it) for 10mins (with the oil you have in the car now, if less than 5k miles old) drain it, and replace with (along with new filter) with 10w40 semi synthetic and use a bottle of engine oil additive, not sure what brands you have over there but here in ireland i use BG MOA in my shop, just did it in my new gs300 last night which was suffering a little from a bearing knock when starting from cold, and worked a treat, might maybe work out for you!

I think my mechanic uses at least 10w 30 for most cars he services .... His mechanic shop deals strictly with lexus vehicles.... So I know he puts a recommended oil weight in there.
just that I'm not sure exactly what he put in my car...
Is there anyone else that thinks that the thicker oil will alleviate piston slap?
