Just recently purchased mine and I notice a slight increase in horsepower as I have been driving spiritedly with an overclogged Air filter

Personally I agree, sure it might save you some in the long run, I have seen filter tests on a flow bench with it and it just passes too much dirt, and after tearing apart my 301 Turbo V8 with a K&N and seeing the scratches in the sides of the pistons, it just isn't worth it in my book to mess with it. Can I prove the K&N did it? No, but why chance it? Paper filters are awesome at the fine dirt filtration.

This thread is YEAR OLD BUT

MAYBE new MEMBERS/Folks have questions and concerns. So they "searched" and the thread went back to the top. Lets us calm down and keep a nice community around here.

Agreed. There is no harm in new members bumping old threads. That is why we have an archive. On the contrary, we should be commending and encouraging new members for showing their love and appreciation for the Lexus build. They obviously searched and bumped an old thread for more current information regarding the matter.

Besides, CL is the official Lexus Bible.
