which is VERY close to hood latch in the gs so i dunno why it would have taken you "forever" to find it

your question is not dumb maybe u asked the wrong way. I have the same problem; the yellow indicator comes on whenever i press the brake; that means there is a problem with one or more of the rear lights. I replaced all the light bulbs with new ones, yet this light keeps coming on. you are right, its quite irritating seeing the light on all the time.

LOL reminds me of my first car I drove around with the high beams on because that was the only indicator that flashed on my dash to let me know the lights were on. Welcome to the Board & thanks for the laugh.

the OP actually was asking about the green light that turns on when your headlights are on or off...the yellow one you have IS a indicator bulb meaning you have a bulb out. when you said you replaced all the light bulbs with new ones, did you do your third brake light also? i had one that seemed to light up fine in my 3rd brake light but it indeed was the culprit...since i now have all LED's in my tails i ended up just pulling this bulb from my cluster
