I've been looking at the classifieds and want to buy a set of springs. I saw these
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/2ge...300-400-a.html
but I don't think the 1 inch drop will be enough.
I also saw another pair that lowered 3 inches in the front and 2.5 inches in the back.
How long have your guys stock struts lasted while using lowering springs?
Do you need to buy a camber kit when you lower over half an inch?

This is kind of what I'm leaning towards. I have searched and it seems no one is really giving a definitive answer or at least one from personal experience. Since I plan on keeping this car for a while it seems the Bilsteins are the way to go. As far as the 3" drop goes I must be wrong. It could have been 2.5 in the front. A guy just posted pictures of his car lowered on Tein S's which looked really good. I'd probably just buy a set of strut/springs from the classifieds towards the end of the week.
Silver04 I just saw your post and if you want to work with me on the price I may want them. Its exactly what I want.

i have a set of brand new Tanabe NF210's. They'll lower your car 1.2 inches front and .8 inches rear. The spring rate is the same as stock so it won't be too stiff. PM me if you're interested.

I'd follow what most everyone above said.
If you change the spring rate/ride height with springs, you are out of the OE spec the struts were designed for. So you will be stressing them out.
I go by a very simple saying, "Do it right the first time" It will save you money, hassle, and your safety in the long run.

I was driving on Tanabe DF210 springs for about 6 months with no issues. Not to mentions these were 10 year old shocks. Since I've switched over to air bags I put my original springs back to my oem shocks, tested them out and they were still good. (I've already sold my DF210's in case anyone was gonna ask
