PM him for that please.
Thanks Thomas. Me too.
JIC, when I pull the pan and things aren't too pretty, does anyone know if there was a major strength difference in cranks for the 1uzfe also?

LOL...we'll see don't want to go crazy. I don't want to shortcut the build either. My focus is the block because I could always buy cams later, so I do not mind investing in it as long as I foresee an FI plan. In the event I don't go FI I'd still want the car to run stout.
It's just not my cup of tea. It's CA and I'd rather not gamble. The swaps are nice, affordable, bar'able and all that but it's just not for me. I'd prefer to keep the engine I have. I'm really adamant about doing all I can to keep the original engine and chassis as one.

Ok gents new plan of action. I was draining the oil today to begin dropping the pan, but the chocolate milk that followed just didn't sit well, on top of that while I was under there I gave a quick look around. I did see some potential future maintenance ares. As of right now it wouldn't be wise to blow a good sum of money on rebuilding the motor to watch everything else around it fall apart. So for now I'm just going to source a replacement engine. Drive the car for a while to get a feel for what is needed, and replace accordingly.
In the future I'll commence w/ an engine build, as of right now, no matter how sweet it sounds I must forget the idea of forged this, and forged that.
any thoughts?
So my ideas and plans of action will hopefully be something along these lines:
Replacement Engine -Timing service & change pumps, I may just do a gasket kit also.
Engine Mounts
Some Trans Maintenance
And lil things here and there... ( accumulate parts for the rebuild. )
Here's a pic and vid of the nestle quick.

There's two reasons for that oil; one - it could be that coolant leaked into the motor -- bad headgasket - air leaked into the motor, condensation, etc etc or could be from the motor sitting so long and then just being turned on for short periods of time. I had this happen to a GSR turbo I built that was my side project for a while.
If I were you like I said; I'd leave that motor in there - buy a motor or block and/or heads and rebuild that. A complete motor from an LS400 would be ideal -- pm speedaddic as he seems to know more about the prev. gen 1uz than I. Not sure how that would work with smog, ecu or harnesses though. In the mean time I'd just take your engine apart. Order parts and fix that sucker up, then swap it back in. Take out your motor you have in there (older gen 1uz) and start building that bih!

Haha no still not appealing to me.
Yeah I can agree with a rebuild, but right now I'll pass. I want to keep an open mind, about my overall build. I think a build will be a future plan. Above I expressed that I want to have the car in it's best shape ever before throwing all that money into a rebuild.
On a side note, picked this up today. Not essential to getting back on the road but nevertheless it was a good purchase.
