Greatness takes time sir, I've been waiting to see that front painted myself. Interested in the wow effect it'll bring when done. I'm just stoked to get my car on the road, and one day get to a level of clean customs like a lot of you are.

Hey Neo,
Surprisingly I did not intend on buying a beater LOL. It just panned out that way. Also with my skill set it's right up my alley. I like a good diamond in the rough. When I began looking for a GS, I wasn't even looking for a Gold one, and I never knew jade colors existed. I was aware of blue, green, black, white(s), and silver.
I was browsing for weeks on end, comparing models and trim getting all my base learning covered. I signed up on this forum because it was the #1 in basically every search I did. One day I had just happened to cross this one that I purchased and decided it made sense. All the parts that are tattered and torn would have been replaced or improved no matter what shape a GS was in when I bought it. I'm into the "vip style," so I'll strive to something along those lines.
So here I am.............

Sup John,
Thanks man. Yeah I've been doing tons of reading from mild to wild. Maintenance to modified. Just trying to soak up a lot of knowledge, before I go ***** deep w/ no solid direction. Later today I'll be picking up my gasket kit & manual from lexus for the engine. I'll post pics.
Thanks
Joel

So I had some free time today, and went outside to play w/ the GS. Long story short I have decided to a head(s) job before I buy a new engine. If it doesn't work, then more than likely I'll just rebuild it, before buying a used LB for $900 in an unknown condition I'd rather just invest in my current one. If I get rich while the engines out, I'll just spring for the full rebuild.
so here's some pics from today..... It appears the timing is correct according to the manual.
