Default chromed my grill

I'm kind of hesitant to use paint thinner. You all sure this is a good/safe way to do this?

if you are scared, take the grill off first, that way you can only do that much damage. and just be patience, it does wonders

I just bought a GS400, 99 sandstone. This was my first mod, from a long list that needs to be done. I cannot stop looking at it. I am in luv with the way the grill looks now. Went to Home Depot, both a gel paint remover, artist brush. Mine came off in less then 10 min. This is the best mod for the buck ($7). Thanks for all the help on the CL board.

I went to home depot and bought Strip-X STIPPER, by Klean Strip. Their are several ones, I bought the 30min one, and it is a thick brushable paste. Its a red can. I also got a artist brush. Went home and removed the grill. Used the brush and I only applied it only on the front of the teh grill. I waited probably 10 min, and you can see the paint coming off. I used a paper towel to remove the paint. Washed the grill with soap and water, and viola. Bling Bling, nice gromed grill. Put it back on. I keep getting compliments from this mod. Cost $7, satisfaction, priceless
