Default twin electrode spark plug only? are iridiums fine?

So it says under the hood of my 99 GS3 to only use twin electrode double platinum plugs. I got NGK iridiums because I heard its the best out. But they re single electrode. Is this fine? What did you guys use on your cars?

Yeah, mine had double electrode platinums too. I changed them with single tip NGK Iridium and the car runs fine. I've done atleast 8K miles with them without a problem. So you can go with the Iridiums.

does anyone know why they would recommend double electrode instead of one? I heard it has something to do with the "no waste spark" system that toyota has.
