Default Did a 2jzgte vvti swap with EMS standalone & my rpm gauge is not working

I have a 2000 GS300 with a 2jzgte vvti swap on a PT6265 BB & Stand alone.
My Tachometer is not working...
I searched the web and the forum didnt really find anything. The guys I found with this same problem on there cars after a swap have SC300 & 1st Gen GS300. And I also found out that my car uses a digital signal instead of analog. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

you have to run a wire from the ignitor to your ecu to make the tach work

I believe you need to run a wire from the AEM to the ignitor. I put an AEM in an old supra and it required changing the ignitor and I can't remember if you tap in to a wire or if there was a dedicated wire that runs to the AEM for the tach signal.

yes you must do this so the ECU see's the RPM.

does the AEM EMS see the RPM? hooked up to the laptop, once are you seeing the correct RPM on the AEM EMS all you need is the Dakota digital tach adapter.

The motor is analog signal. The cluster is digital signal. The signal coming out of the AEM EMS goes to the adapter and then from the adapter to the cluster. teh adapter converts the signal!

I have a LS2 GS and this is what i did. works 100% perfectly.
