Just to give you an idea, I paid $12,500 for an 03 gs3 sport design 76k miles. black with saddle interior. Many times, people sell these cars with ALOT of miles. So I had to jump on the first low mileage, clean, well maintained GS.

The main issue to me is whether the timing belt has been replaced as scheduled. Ball joints are also commonly needed. I bought mine with 130K and had to do almost nothing because the maintenance work had been done. It seems people dump them when it's time for the timing belt / water pump service. $1200 at the dealer for that service.
