Unhappy broken cable under car - what is it?

(hello all. long time fan, first time owner.)

I was hearing a clanking noise under the car, like a pebble hitting the exhaust area, I took a look under the car and notice this broken cable (pics attached). can anyone tell me what this is? any info available on how to fix?

thanks.

22mm wrench. You will have to unplug it first before tightening it back up...although if it was banging on the floor, its probably no good anymore.

Yup, midpipe o2 sensor.. And it kinda sucks bro because it did not come unscrewed it is broke off in the pipe still. I hope your able to get the piece out of the pipe.

The other b*tch part of it is the connector to disconnect it is not under the car, it goes through the floor board under the carpet on the passenger side.. It's a little bit of time consuming job for such a simple part swap.

You might be in luck since it kinda looks like the hex portion is still on the exhaust pipe, and you can probably use a big ratchet and 22mm socket and get some good torque on it.. The are generally kinda tight to unscrew due to the extreme heat.. But this location being further from the block is usually the least difficult as it see's lower temps...

changing it out is cake...unplugging is easy as pulling the carpet back. You could do this in a few minutes if you know what you're doing.
