Yes use the Toyota T-IV and if your fluid doesn't smell burnt, you can drain 2 quarts from a port on the back of the tranny, and refill. I drive mine about 15k a year, so I just drain/fill 2 quarts once a year, only costs about $10 and doesn't take long to do it. I think theres a DIY to drain ALL the fluid out but mine was in good shape so didn't have to. Tranny shifts smooth as silk, and have 204k on the car.

I'm glad I got the GS4, I've talked to a guy in person that has a GS3 and wishes he had gotten the GS4, and the gas mileage isn't very different. It's a pretty heavy car and the extra horses come in handy. I have a Supra with 2JZ-GE that I did a turbo kit on, so I'm familiar with how that engine feels, and the V8 is the bomb IMO compared to normally aspirated 2JZ.

Default ******Purchased today*******

I just purchased my new baby today. Found a 02 with 78k miles so I jumped on this car. The price was well below the retail. http://www.mariettauc.com/detail-200...d-7105369.html I paid $12k cash for the car and I can not be more happy. Take the time to look at the Car Fax. I have never seen a more detailed report before. The car was well maintained and I plan on doing the same.

Things I will immediately do:

1. Do a drain and fill with T-IV. The fluid is still "kinda" red so I will just do a drain and fill to refresh the fluid.

2. The power steering fluid is basically dark brown so it needs to be changed ASAP. I'm going to do the turkey baster and add Dex-VI fluid to it. I plan on going through two quarts to refresh the fluid. What do you all use? In my infiniti, I used M1 sny atf.

3. The bulb on the spoiler doesn't work and half the speaker deck light are blown. Will go by autozone to replace.

4. The audio-tune button doesn't work. I tried pressing the button but it doesn't allow me to adjust the fade, etc...and I'm not able to fine tune which sucks but I wasn't going to allow this to be a deal breaker. Good thing the settings sound just great where they are at now. Is this a common problem? Maybe I'll find a good used one on eBay.

5. Purchase the 6.5" speaker adapter baffle off eBay so I can replace the 4" speakers and upgrade with some nice 3-way speakers. Does anyone here have user experience using the eBay baffles? The speaker in the back is a 10" sub. Have any of your replaced that? For now I plan on replacing all four door speakers with 6.5" and riding with the factory sound system. What is the name of our sound system? I had Bose in my Infiniti.

Let me know what you all think. I wanted black, but hey, I had to jump on this. Looking forward to all responses.

Congrats on your purchase. Sounds like a good deal. If it was me I would leave the tranny fluid alone for now since it only have 78k mi and the color seems ok from what you described, but its up to you. Yes definitely change the power steering fluid if its dark brown. I personally buy fluids from toyota. You may want to check the coolant too if its green or red. I drained mine and changed to toyota red when I first got it. Check cabin and air filter if it needs replacing. There's alot of good used headunit in ebay. The sound system is a Mark Levinson. Good luck!

If they had a 430 I would've jumped all on it but im happy now with the 300. Win those miles and detailed report I couldn't walk away. Instead of using a turkey basted, I will use a clean "lotion bottle " type pump to insert in the hole to get the fluid out. Will be much quicker than a turkey basted plus the baster might not reach to the bottom. Couple of questions I have for you guys concerning bulbs that are blown.

What size is the small parking light bulb in the smaller headlight? How about the high mount stoplight? They are not listed in the manual. My car has the spoiler. How do I replace that blown light w it looks like one long led bulb. Guess thatsa dealer item.

I want to put led inside my license bulbs. Those are not listed in the manual either. Thanks everyone.
