thats the vid I saw once maybe about a year ago and that's why I asked If it should be done from the bottom or to do like you guys were talking about and take it out with a soap bottle nozzle.

It's your choice.

As in the other DIY threads, it's mentioned it's a tradeoff of pros/cons.

If you just suck from the top,
pro: easy, each procedure takes less time, less messy.
con: removes less fluid per procedure, so wastes fluid and overall time to change is longer (to do repeated suck/fills)

If you go from the bottom

pro: more complete job, reduces wasted fluid, "done" quicker as more fluid is exchanged per procedure.
con: technically more difficult, requires more time/expertise/equipment to complete the procedure, more potential for a mess as well as goofing up.

It's a matter of preference my friend! raytseng explained it best.

So just curious... what exactly could you screw up??? I just completed the full flush underneath behind the wheel and I think I did everything right but now my steering is stiff and occasionally makes a sound when i'm backing, out (only been a day or so). I just did it for maintenance. I used Castrol Synthetic ATF (states its compatible with toyata & lexus DEX II, III). Anyhow sorry for the insert but pretty frustrated since nothing was wrong with it before.

Oh and the level is fine, still looks a little dark though...
